Herman Autrup, PhD is a professor in Environmental Medicine, Institute of Public Health, University of Aarhus, Denmark. He worked in the Laboratory of Human Carcinogenesis, National Cancer Institute before becoming head of Laboratory of Environmental Carcinogenesis, Danish Cancer Society, Copenhagen. His current research activities include molecular epidemiology with focus on susceptible groups, and nano-toxicology. He has been president of EUROTOX and is member of several EU scientific panels in the area of risk assessment. He is currently associate editor of Toxicological Sciences.
